Bumpboxx X MLS
We partnered with Major League Soccer to produce a series of limited Bumpboxxs for 10 teams. This opportunity allowed us to showcase how great of a canvas that the Bumpboxx is. The “flagship” Flare 8 model is perfect option because it’s powerful and has ample surface area for graphics and custom features. So we had the freedom to take the essence of each team and really make a great product.
MLS provided us with the brand guidelines for the 10 teams which included logos, wordmarks, color palettes and uniform kits. The idea was to combine those elements into sophisticated patterns and designs that told the story of each team. This was not a “one size fits all” approach. Some teams had more assets than others so crafting that unique story was done with finesse. Seeing the different “personalities” together solidified the true strength of MLS and all the teams were on board.
The promotional content had to be templated and very flexible. We were providing content to each team to promote their own Bumpboxx. So we had to be able , in most cases, to switch out game / practice footage or product shots to tell a unified story.
