Bumpboxx X Truly Hard Seltzer
Truly Hard Seltzer had initially approached us because they wanted to collaborate on a limited run of Bumpboxx products for late summer. They decided on two largely contrasting units to keep it interesting. To introduce these offerings, Truly Hard Seltzer planned to do some in store promotional giveaways. In one of our first meetings they presented the designs that they wanted to move forward with. Minimalist at most, the designs were just simple gradients with the logo in black. These designs lacked any appeal and based off of truly’s own social outlets didn’t have any connection with their customer base.
This created two opportunities for Bumpboxx:
1) Prove to both the client and internal stakeholders that we could operate like an in house Creative Agency creating concept driven art for clients.
2) Grow the Bumpbpxx brand by offering these design services with every collaboration. Letting clients know that we are more than just an electronics manufacturer.
The concept behind the Truly pattern was a blend of their unique fruit flavors with a cool illustrative style. We referenced some of their most recent collaborations to show how we could create designs highlighting product attributes and brand colors. Truly’s head of marketing liked the designs so much that they wanted the pattern as a part of their in store promotional displays.
Because of our agency approach. we were able to leverage more business from Truly’s parent company, Boston Beer Company. We won the account for Twisted Tea based off of our work so the project was a success on many different levels.
