Xfinity Optech Tradeshow Booth
Project
Create a best in class trade show booth experience for Xfinity customers at the 2023 NMHC OPTECH Conference with Comcast vendor Showcraft. We provide the design story, aesthetics and client advocacy. Showcraft executed the build.
The focus of Xfinity and the Optech conference is to provide innovation and future-ready technology for Multi-Dwelling Units. Products that include property-wide connectivity solution that includes 24/7 proactive monitoring for both existing and new build properties. The sales teams will engage with prospect to find out what’s important to them and the vision for their property. Plus, ensure that superior service provides the backbone to these experiences, providing support to communities at every stage of the building lifecycle.
First was to define the look and feel of the trade show booth. Also to provide strategy on how to enhance the experience for event goers once in the space. Perspective on overarching themes for food, drinks and entertainment for guests were provided.
From our 4 options the client chose the concept:
“Light Years Ahead”
By creating an immersive future- and tech-centered environment, our guests will know that Xfinity is the only partner that can meet their needs now and into the future.
So this futuristic feel took over the whole space anchored in Xfinity’s new super saturated purple tones. We used Xfinity’s chevron shapes on the floor and ceiling as beacons to direct event goers into the space.
We requested that Showcraft make updates of the physical structure of the booth itself to ladder up to the client’s overarching theme of “connectivity”. They responded with larger exterior screens, continuous LED piping throughout so color and light could travel around the footprint uninterrupted.
Major Personal Win
Their were “supply chain issues” with the vendor providing us with templates in a time for an upcoming client presentation. Having the foresight to see what was happening, I used my access to an inccubator space here in Sacramento to do some large format printing and laser cutting so that I could mock up the 3 original options by hand just in time for the client. So GMR was still able to have our voice heard even when the vendor was not playing so nice in the sandbox.
Project Goal
Break through the booth clutter at the 2023 OPTECH Expo with a “fun” experience that delivers on the Xfinity Brand Purpose of connecting you to more of what you love. Showcase Xfinity’s innovation and technology, while helping the sales team connect with customers on a human level with warmth and shared interests.
