Young Hearted 15

Young Hearted 15 is a grass roots philanthropic organization in the making. The goal of the organization is to spread the awareness for young athletes that play sports to encourage them, and educate them on the importance of proper testing of heart disease, before playing any sports on any level. YH15 will donate a portion of the proceeds earned from company annually to the American Heart Association for awareness of Left Ventricular Hypertrophy from the sale of goods and services. Young Hearted 15's aim is to contribute to new rules, and health regulations that will ensure the best health care for Middle School, High School, and NCAA athletes.

Left Ventricular Hypertrophy(LVH) is the most common type of hypertrophy heart disease. A common cause of LVH is chronic hypertension, which increases the overload on the left ventricle. Young Hearted 15's aim is to contribute to new rules, and health regulations that will ensure the best health care for Middle School, High School, and NCAA athletes.

Background & Market Research

Logo Process

The concept for the logo is the combines the of ferociousness and hunger for life of a young lion with the number 15. The number 15 was the owner's younger brother's jersey number, who unfortunately passed away from (LVH) while playing basketball at Oklahoma State University. For this logo we studied various iconic sports and fashion brands. Examining logos that were timeless in design, hoping to translate the animal and number through the use of as few lines a s possible. In essence keeping the mark modern, graphic and iconic.
